Version 1.0 of the NIST Smart Grid Framework/Roadmap was issued today. The non-open standards that were in the draft remained in the final. This will require both a Federal definition of an open standard and education in its use. Otherwise, we can expect to see proprietary formats declared by Federal agencies as being open formats suitable for use.
